See Mecklenburg et al. 2002:246 [ref. 25968]. •Valid as Idiolychnus urolampus (Gilbert & Cramer 1897) -- (Paxton 1979:12 [ref. 6440], Fujii in Okamura et al. 1982:109, 340 [ref. 8256], Fujii in Masuda et al. 1984:71 [ref. 6441], Becker & Shcherbachev 1990:849 [ref. 20119], Becker 1992:3 [ref. 20772], Paxton & Hulley 1999:1963 [ref. 24748], Nakabo 2000:386 [ref. 25086], Nakabo 2002:386 [ref. 26001], Mundy 2005:223 [ref. 28379], Fricke et al. 2009:25 [ref. 30213], Fricke et al. 2018:79 [ref. 35805]). Current status: Valid as Idiolychnus urolampus (Gilbert & Cramer 1897). Myctophidae: Diaphinae. Distribution: Indo-Pacific: Madagascar and Mascarenes, Kyushu-Palau Ridge, Hawaiian Islands, Nazca and Sala-y-Gomez ridges. Habitat: marine.
