Not treated in Kullander & Ferraris in Reis et al. 2003:39 [ref. 27061]. •Synonym of Anchovia macrolepidota (Kner 1863) -- (Whitehead et al. 1988:379 [ref. 5725], Chirichigno F. & Vélez D. 1998:183 [ref. 24555], Castro-Aguirre et al. 1999:125 [ref. 24550]). Current status: Synonym of Anchovia macrolepidota (Kner 1863). Engraulidae: Engraulinae. Habitat: brackish, marine.
