caulopus, Homesthes Gilbert [C. H.] in Jordan & Evermann 1898:2394 [Bulletin of the United States National Museum No. 47; ref. 2445] Panama Bay, (Pacific) Panama. Holotype: CAS-SU 5623 (figured specimen). Paratypes: CAS-SU 5623 (1, with holotype). Author is C. H. Gilbert. Holotype figured in Gilbert & Starks 1904, Pl. 32 (fig. 61) [ref. 1639]. •Valid as Hypsoblennius caulopus (Gilbert 1898) -- (Allen & Robertson 1994:253 [ref. 22193], Hastings in Fischer et al. 1995:928 [ref. 22829], Bath 1996:90 [ref. 22687], Chirichigno F. & Vélez D. 1998:248 [ref. 24555], Bath 2000:176 [ref. 25102], Patzner et al. 2009:455 [ref. 30396]). Current status: Valid as Hypsoblennius caulopus (Gilbert 1898). Blenniidae: Salariinae. Distribution: Eastern Pacific. Habitat: marine.
