Paralectotypes: (3) ?BMNH 1903.5.15.439 (1), CAS-SU 6948 (?now 2). Type catalog: Böhlke 1953:50 [ref. 12291] with a holotype. Author is C. H. Gilbert. Original genus should have been spelled Pisodnophis.
