Type catalog: Böhlke 1953:70 [ref. 12291], Anderson 2018:9 [ref. 36146]. Current status: Valid as Baldwinella eos (Gilbert 1890). Serranidae. Distribution: Eastern Pacific: Gulf of California (Mexico) south to Colombia, including Cocos Island (Costa Rica). Habitat: marine.
