Type catalog: Böhlke 1953:122 [ref. 12291]. •Synonym of Sebastes aleutianus (Jordan & Evermann 1898) -- (Love et al. 2002:122 [ref. 26216]). •Synonym of Sebastes melanostomus (Eigenmann & Eigenmann 1890) -- (Mecklenburg et al. 2002:383 [ref. 25968]). Current status: Synonym of Sebastes melanostomus (Eigenmann & Eigenmann 1890). Sebastidae: Sebastinae. Habitat: marine.
