Lectotype: CAS-SU 10. Paralectotypes: BMNH 1900.9.29.240-242 [from Jordan] (3), CAS-SU 69103 [ex CAS-SU 10] (30). Type catalog: Böhlke 1953:108 [ref. 12291]. Original genus should have been Bollmannia. •Valid as Bollmannia stigmatura Gilbert 1892 -- (Allen & Robertson 1994:259 [ref. 22193], Bussing & López S. 1994:142 [ref. 23101], Hoese in Fischer et al. 1995:1134 [ref. 22829], De La Cruz Agüero et al. 1997:162 [ref. 24545] as stismatura, Nelson et al. 2004:170 [ref. 27807], Van Tassell 2011:167 [ref. 31732], Page et al. 2013:175 [ref. 32708], Love et al. 2021:204 [ref. 39279]). Current status: Valid as Bollmannia stigmatura Gilbert 1892. Gobiidae: Gobiinae. Distribution: Eastern Pacific: southern California (U.S.A.) south to Peru, including Gulf of California (Mexico). Habitat: marine.
