barysoma, Magnisudis Harry [R. R.] 1953:235, Fig. 5 [Pacific Science v. 7 (no. 2); ref. 2045] Drifted on shore at Avila, San Luis Obispo County, California, U.S.A. Holotype: CAS-SU 18631. Paratypes: ANSP 72170 (1, c&s, in pieces), CAS-SU 15352 (1). Type catalog: Post 1972:155 [ref. 20860] but with incorrect interpretation of Art. 13b, Böhlke 1984:136 [ref. 13621]. Appeared first as above, then in Harry 1953:180 [ref. 12696]. Holotype established on p. 234. •Synonym of Paralepis atlantica Krøyer 1868 -- (Post 1973:204 [ref. 7182] with a lectotype). •Synonym of Magnisudis atlantica (Krøyer 1868) -- (Post 1990:380 [ref. 15233], Sheiko & Fedorov 2000:22 [ref. 25650]). Current status: Synonym of Magnisudis atlantica (Krøyer 1868). Paralepididae. Habitat: marine.
