Paratypes: CAS-SU 6535 (10 young), 12290 (1, missing in 1995), 12291-92 (1, 1), 12293 (1, missing in 1995); USNM 61167 (3, not found in 1980). Type catalog: Böhlke 1953:83 [ref. 12291]. Tschudi 1846 may be 1845, still researching. •Synonym of Nexilosus latifrons (Tschudi 1846) -- (Allen 1991:247 [ref. 19344], Parenti 2021:70 [ref. 38418]). Current status: Synonym of Nexilosus latifrons (Tschudi 1846). Pomacentridae: Microspathodontinae. Habitat: marine.
