Current status: Valid as Stegastes arcifrons (Heller & Snodgrass 1903). Pomacentridae: Microspathodontinae. Distribution: Eastern Pacific: Cocos Island (Costa Rica), Malpelo Island (Colombia) and Galapagos Islands (Ecuador). Habitat: marine.
