Date changed from 1934 to 1933 on 29 Feb. 2013. •Referred to genus Pterocryptis -- (Bornbusch 1991:1075 [ref. 16547], Burgess & Finley 1996:164 [ref. 22901]). •Mention -- (Ng & Kottelat 1998:396 [ref. 23627]). •Synonym of Pterocryptis gilberti (Hora 1939) by mistake -- (Zhang et al. 2016:180 [ref. 34477] dated 1934). •Valid as Pterocryptis anomala (Herre 1933) -- (Ng & Chan 2005:51 [ref. 28371] dated 1933, Ferraris 2007:375 [ref. 29155], Kottelat 2013:237 [ref. 32989], Ng et al. 2018:132 [ref. 36220]). Current status: Valid as Pterocryptis anomala (Herre 1933). Siluridae. Distribution: Southeastern China. Habitat: freshwater.
