D.] 1974:55, Pls. 2-3 [University of California Publications in Zoology v. 96 (for 1973); ref. 2199] Seigler Creek, 1/4 mile above the mouth into Clear Lake, Lake County, California, U.S.A. Holotype: CAS 23566. Paratypes: CAS 23261 (10), 23547 (9), 24032-34 (37, 13, 8). Type catalog: Gilbert 1998:58 [ref. 23395]. Appeared first (and unavailable) in Hopkirk 1968:414 [ref. 2198] without distinguishing features. •Synonym of Lavinia exilicauda Baird & Girard 1854, but a valid subspecies as described -- (Lee et al. 1980:199 [ref. 22416], Gilbert 1998:58 [ref. 23395], Scharpf 2005:21 [ref. 28940], Page & Burr 2011:158 [ref. 31215]). •Mention -- (Moyle 2002:136 [ref. 26449]). Current status: Synonym of Lavinia exilicauda Baird & Girard 1854. Cyprinidae: Laviniinae. Distribution: Clear Lake, California [this subspecies]. Habitat: freshwater.
