Type catalog: Ferraris et al. 2017:[30] [ref. 35236]. •Valid as Archolaemus blax Korringa 1870 -- (Mago-Leccia 1994:18 [ref. 21320], Albert & Campos-da-Paz 1998:428 [ref. 23853], Keith et al. 2000:14 [ref. 24547], Keith & Meunier 2000:401 [ref. 25160], Albert in Reis et al. 2003:487 [ref. 27061], Meunier et al. 2011:48 [ref. 31379], Vari et al. 2012:670, 680 [ref. 32101], Ferraris et al. 2017:[30] [ref. 35236], Koerber et al. 2022:42 [ref. 39235]). Current status: Valid as Archolaemus blax Korringa 1970. Sternopygidae: Eigenmanniinae. Distribution: South America: Tocantins River basin (northeastern Brazil). Habitat: freshwater.
