atlanticus, Alepocephalus edentulus Roule [L.] & Angel [F.] 1931:5 [Bulletin de l'Institut Océanographique (Monaco) No. 581; ref. 3825] North Atlantic between Madeira and southern coast of Morocco, station 3090, depth 0-4000 meters. Holotype (unique): MOM 0091-1352. Type catalog: Belloc 1949:5 [ref. 21544]. Also appeared in Roule & Angel 1933:4, Pl. 1 (fig. 1) [ref. 3827]. •Valid as Torictus atlanticus (Roule & Angel 1931) -- (Krefft 1973:92 [ref. 7166]). •Synonym of Einara edentula (Alcock 1892) -- (Markle & Quéro in Whitehead et al. 1984:242 [ref. 13675], Markle & Sazonov 1990:256 [ref. 14215]). Current status: Synonym of Einara edentula (Alcock 1892). Alepocephalidae. Habitat: marine.
