Paralectotypes: (8) BMNH 1925.8.11.19 (1), 1932.5.3.25 (1), 1932.5.3.26 (1, stained); ZMUC P92156-57 (2), P92158-59 (2). Type catalog: Nielsen 1974:90 [ref. 9588]. Lectotype selected by Bertelsen 1951:270 [ref. 287]. •Valid as Chaenophryne parviconus Regan & Trewavas 1932 -- (Maul 1973:670 [ref. 7171]). •Synonym of Chaenophryne draco Beebe 1932 -- (Bertelsen in Whitehead et al. 1986:1385 [ref. 13677], Bertelsen 1990:498 [ref. 15654], Anderson & Leslie 2001:12 [ref. 26165], Mecklenburg et al. 2002:305 [ref. 25968], Mundy 2005:270 [ref. 28379], Pietsch 2007:164 [ref. 29040], Pietsch 2009:388 [ref. 30766]). Current status: Synonym of Chaenophryne draco Beebe 1932. Oneirodidae. Habitat: marine.
