Holotype (unique) (?): whereabouts unknown. •Valid as Liparis brevicaudus Mori 1956 -- (Lindberg & Krasyukova 1987:426 [ref. 15964]). •Synonym of Liparis tessellatus (Gilbert & Burke 1912) -- (Kido 1988:176 [ref. 12287], Chernova et al. 2004:30 [ref. 27592], Chernova 2008:841 [ref. 30236], Parin et al. 2014:342 [ref. 33547]). Current status: Synonym of Liparis tessellatus (Gilbert & Burke 1912). Liparidae. Habitat: marine.
