Holotype (unique): RMNH 2154. Original genus should have been Pseudoscarus. •Questionably a synonym of Scarus psittacus Forsskål 1775 -- (Parenti & Randall 2000:58 [ref. 24943], Fricke et al. 2018:299 [ref. 35805]). Current status: Uncertain as Scarus psittacus Forsskål 1775. Labridae. Habitat: marine.
