Holotype (unique): whereabouts unknown. Text originally published with genus as above, but separate errata sheet says Leiobatis should read Anacanthobatis on pages 18, 19, and 22, and in caption on Pl. 23. •Valid as Springeria dubia (von Bonde & Swart 1923) -- (Moncada & Tizol 1983:38 [ref. 36857]). •Synonym of Anacanthobatis marmorata (von Bonde & Swart 1923) -- (Hulley 1986:128 [ref. 5672] as marmoratus). Current status: Synonym of Anacanthobatis marmorata (von Bonde & Swart 1923). Anacanthobatidae. Habitat: marine.
