Holotype: FMNH 56259 [ex CM 5059]. Paratypes: (21, CM and IU) CAS 44332 [ex IU 12831] (10), FMNH 56260 (10). Unjustified emendation and objective synonym of Bryconamericus boquiae Eigenmann 1913. Original name based on locality given as Boquia but later referred to as Boquilla by Eigenmann 1922:153, corresponding with the change in spelling of the specific name boquillae. Eigenmann 1922:153 included both spellings of the name, making it clearly an intentional change. •Synonym of Hemibrycon boquiae (Eigenmann 1913) -- (Malabarba in Reis et al. 2003:129 [ref. 27061]). Unjustified Emend.. Current status: Synonym of Hemibrycon boquiae (Eigenmann 1913). Characidae: Stevardiinae. Habitat: freshwater.
