Lectotype established by Fowler 1910:274, Pl. 15 (fig. 6) [ref. 19840]. •Synonym of Notropis stramineus (Cope 1865), but a valid subspecies -- (Gilbert 1978:62 [ref. 7042], Lee et al. 1980:314 [ref. 22416], Baxter & Stone 1995:97 [ref. 23374], Scott & Crossman 1998:470 [ref. 24570]). •Synonym of Notropis ludibundus (Girard 1856), but a valid subspecies -- (Cross & Collins 1995:94 [ref. 23394], Gilbert 1998:115 [ref. 23395]). •Synonym of Notropis stramineus (Cope 1865), but a valid subspecies -- (Scharpf 2005:33 [ref. 28940]). •Synonym of Miniellus stramineus (Cope 1865). Current status: Synonym of Miniellus stramineus (Cope 1865). Leuciscidae: Pogonichthyinae. Distribution: South-central U.S.A. [subspecies missuriensis]. Habitat: freshwater.
