Localities as labelled (a) Borneo: very doubtful and (b) St. Vincents which Günther interpreted as St. Vincents of Windward Is., but is almost certainly St. Vicente, Cape Verde Is. •Synonym of Chelon bispinosus (Bowdich 1825) -- (Thomson 1990:855 [ref. 19180], Thomson 1997:541 [ref. 23428], Harrison 2016:2085 [ref. 34599]). Current status: Synonym of Chelon bispinosus (Bowdich 1825). Mugilidae. Habitat: marine.
