Garden [South Carolina]. •Synonym of Mugil cephalus Linnaeus 1758 -- (Okada 1961:628 [ref. 6363], Smith 1986:437 [ref. 22186], Thomson 1997:484 [ref. 23428], Mundy 2005:278 [ref. 28379], Whitfield et al. 2012:xx [ref. 32710], Kottelat 2013:281 [ref. 32989]). •Possibly a synonym of Mugil liza Valenciennes 1836 -- (see Menezes et al. 2010:66 [ref. 30860]).
