Type catalog: Menon & Yazdani 1968:144 [ref. 20743], Whitehead & Talwar 1976:160 [ref. 23762], Ferraris et al. 2000:295 [ref. 25110]. Lectotype selected by Talwar 1976 (not researched, not designated here). •Synonym of Parma biauritus (Cantor 1849). •Synonym of Otolithoides biauritus (Cantor 1849) -- (Lal Mohan 1972:415 [ref. 35185 ], Trewavas 1977:297 [ref. 4459], Talwar 1995:25 [ref. 25194], Sasaki 2001:3165 [ref. 26108], Parenti 2020:36 [ref. 37439]).
