W.] 1934:359, Fig. 110 [Proceedings of the Academy of Natural Sciences of Philadelphia v. 85 (for 1933); ref. 1416] Gulf of Boni, Sulawesi, Indonesia, Albatross station 5651, depth 700 fathoms. Holotype: USNM 93139. USNM 240669 and 240670 are identified as P. microps from Bermuda; otherwise known only from the holotype. •Valid as Pseudoscopelus microps Fowler 1934 -- (Prokofiev & Kukuev 2005:749 [ref. 28534], Prokofiev & Kukuev 2006:159 [ref. 28617]). •Synonym of Pseudoscopelus altipinnis Parr 1933 -- (Melo et al. 2007:34 [ref. 29307], Spitz et al. 2007:335 [ref. 29400], Melo 2010:37 [ref. 31058], Prokofiev 2011:707 [ref. 31701]). Current status: Synonym of Pseudoscopelus altipinnis Parr 1933. Chiasmodontidae. Distribution: Indonesia and Bermuda [if valid]. Habitat: marine.
