Subjectively invalid; secondarily preoccupied by Trigla japonica Shaw 1803. •Replaced by and objective synonym of Lepidotrigla abyssalis Jordan & Starks 1904 -- (Lindberg & Krasyukova 1987:102 [ref. 15964], Richards 1992:62 [ref. 20654]). 2°Homonym. Current status: Synonym of Lepidotrigla abyssalis Jordan & Starks 1904. Triglidae: Triglinae. Habitat: marine.
