bruniensis, Centrina Morton [A.] (ex Ogilby) 1894:211 [Papers and Proceedings of the Royal Society of Tasmania 1893; ref. 14557] On the beach at Bruny Island, off southeastern Tasmania, Australia, southwestern Pacific Ocean. Holotype (unique): TMH D154/13139 [old no. 3079] (dry, mounted skin). Appeared first in Ogilby 1893:62 [ref. 14532]; Morton used the same specimen and Ogilby's description, but Morton published it independently. •Preoccupied by, and objective synonym of Oxynotus bruniensis (Ogilby 1893). 1°Homonym. Current status: Synonym of Oxynotus bruniensis (Ogilby 1893). Oxynotidae. Habitat: marine.
