Type catalog: Bauchot et al. 1983:68 [ref. 21545]. •Valid as Lethrinus fraenatus Valenciennes 1830 -- (Allen & Swainston 1988:84 [ref. 25477]). •Synonym of Lethrinus nebulosus (Forsskål 1775) -- (Sato 1978:30 [ref. 8884], Carpenter in Carpenter & Allen 1989:75 [ref. 13577], Carpenter 2001:3037 [ref. 26105], Kottelat 2013:351 [ref. 32989], Carpenter 2022:323 [ref. 39786]). Current status: Synonym of Lethrinus nebulosus (Forsskål 1775). Lethrinidae: Lethrininae. Habitat: brackish, marine.
