hinbei, Lepidorhinus Tanaka [S.] 1918:99 [Dobutsugaku Zasshi = Zoological Magazine Tokyo v. 30 (no. 353); ref. 17356] Tokyo fish market, probably caught off Odowara, Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan. Holotype (unique): ZUMT 12349. Type catalog: Aizawa et al. 2022:201 [ref. 39648] as kinbei. •Questionably a synonym of Centrophorus squamosus (Bonnaterre 1788) -- (Compagno 1984:43 [ref. 6474]). Current status: Uncertain as Centrophorus squamosus (Bonnaterre 1788). Centrophoridae. Habitat: marine. |
