Type catalog: Bertin & Estève 1948:92 [ref. 19574]. •Synonym of Botia beauforti Smith 1931 -- (Kottelat 2001:88 [ref. 25780]). •Synonym of Syncrossus beauforti (Smith 1931) -- (Kottelat 2004:14 [ref. 27360]). •Valid as Syncrossus formosus (Pellegrin & Fang 1940) -- (Grant 2007:48 [ref. 29922]). •Valid as Synchossus lucasbahi (Fowler 1937) -- (Kottelat 2012:19 [ref. 32367], Kottelat 2013:175 [ref. 32989]). Current status: Synonym of Syncrossus lucasbahi (Fowler 1937). Botiidae: Botiinae. Distribution: Lower Mekong River system: Thailand, Laos, Cambodia and southern Vietnam (if valid). Habitat: freshwater.
