Syntypes: MNHN 0000-3594 (1) Moluccas; 0000-3595-0000-3596 and 0000-3602 and 0000-4596 (5) Alipey, coast of Malabar; 0000-3597-0000-3601 (5), 0000-3603 (1) and 0000-4597 (1) Malabar; 0000-3604 to 0000-3606 (3) Coromandel; ?B.-2167 (1), etc. Type catalog: Bertin 1940:259-260 [ref. 293]. •Synonym of Megalops cyprinoides (Broussonet 1782) -- (Okada 1961:288 [ref. 6363], Daget 1984:32 [ref. 6170], Fricke 1999:35 [ref. 24106], Kottelat 2013:34 [ref. 32989], Fricke et al. 2018:29 [ref. 35805]). Current status: Synonym of Megalops cyprinoides (Broussonet 1782). Megalopidae. Habitat: freshwater, brackish, marine.
