No. 504; ref. 21298] Tauranga Bay, on south side, South Island, New Zealand, 41°47'S, 171°27'E. Holotype: NMNZ P.30571 [?P.30569]. Paratypes: AMS I.34234-001 (5); BMNH 1993.9.24:1-5 (5); NMNZ P.14109 (2), P. 17083 (17), P.30570 (5); QM types 233-234 (2); SMNS 13916 (66), 13933 (21), 14047 (1); USNM 326614 (5). Type catalog: Fricke 1995:21 [ref. 28100], Springer & Orrell 1996:30 [ref. 22274], Fricke 2005:68 [ref. 29864]. Clements et al. 2000:381 [ref. 25188] conclude that signata (= gymnota) was introduced to Tasmania by human activity. •Valid as Grahamina signata Fricke & Roberts 1993 -- (Fricke 1994:395 [ref. 21827], Fricke 1997:576 [ref. 23339]). •Synonym of Grahamina gymnota (Scott 1977) -- (Clements et al. 2000:379 [ref. 25188], Fricke 2009:45 [ref. 30394]). •Synonym of Forsterygion gymnota Scott 1977 -- (Jawad 2008:2962 [ref. 29958]). Current status: Synonym of Forsterygion gymnotum Scott 1977. Tripterygiidae: Tripterygiinae. Habitat: marine.
