Paratypes: USNM 317211 (4, 1 c&s), 319706 (1). •Valid as Acanthemblemaria johnsoni Almany & Baldwin 1996 -- (Williams 2002:15 [ref. 26522], Williams 2003:1766 [ref. 27109], Patzner et al. 2009:468 [ref. 30396], Hastings et al. 2020:214 [ref. 37662]). Current status: Valid as Acanthemblemaria johnsoni Almany & Baldwin 1996. Chaenopsidae. Distribution: Western Atlantic: Tobago to islands of eastern Venezuela, Caribbean Sea. Habitat: marine.
