Type catalog: Springer & Orrell 1996:6 [ref. 22274]. •Valid as Coralliozetus diaphanus (Longley 1927) -- (Robins & Ray 1986:224 [ref. 23100]). •Valid as Emblemariopsis diaphana Longley 1927 -- (Stephens 1963:93 [ref. 4270], Tyler & Tyler 1997:25 [ref. 22715], Smith et al. 2003:55 [ref. 27621], Nelson et al. 2004:166 [ref. 27807], McEachran & Fechhelm 2005:620 [ref. 28815], Patzner et al. 2009:470 [ref. 30396], Victor 2010:19 [ref. 31107], Page et al. 2013:172 [ref. 32708], Victor 2020:92 [ref. 38038]). Current status: Valid as Emblemariopsis diaphana Longley 1927. Chaenopsidae. Distribution: Western Atlantic: south Florida, the Keys and the Tortugas, and the Gulf of Mexico off Mexico. Habitat: marine.
