macrophthalma, Dasyatis Gomes [U. L.], Rosa [R. S.] & Gadig [O. B. F.] 2000:510 [Copeia 2000 (no. 2); ref. 24451] Appeared by mistake in title in a paper describing Dasyatis marianae. Rosa et al. 2000:889 [ref. 24588] pointed out that this was a typesetting error; however they acted as first revisers selecting marianae over macrophthalma, an action that was probably not needed since the species was spelled marianae throughout, except for the obvious lapsus in the title. •In the synonymy of Hypanus marianae (Gomes, Rosa & Gadig 2000).
