Type catalog: Moore & Boardman 1991:23 [ref. 16741] as linderi. •Valid as Lonchopisthus lindneri Ginsburg 1942 -- (Castro-Aguirre & Villavicencio-Garayzar 1988:115 [ref. 17648]). •Synonym of Lonchopisthus micrognathus (Poey 1860) -- (Smith-Vaniz 1997:1075 [ref. 22985], Smith-Vaniz & Walsh 2017:76 [ref. 35628]). Current status: Synonym of Lonchopisthus micrognathus (Poey 1860). Opistognathidae. Habitat: marine.
