Type catalog: Pietsch et al. 1987:135 [ref. 6339]. •Valid as Lophiodes monodi (Le Danois 1971) -- (Caruso 1981:540 [ref. 5169], Cervigón 1992:349 [ref. 23827], McEachran & Fechhelm 1998:830 [ref. 23897], Caruso 2003:1048 [ref. 27013], Caruso et al. 2007:1021 [ref. 29075], Ho & Shao 2008:371 [ref. 29894], Robertson et al. 2020:158 [ref. 38098]). Current status: Valid as Lophiodes monodi (Le Danois 1971). Lophiidae. Distribution: Northwestern Atlantic: between 27°N and 7°N. Habitat: marine.
