Fish Commission v. 21 [1901]; ref. 11102] Apparently not intended as a new species but as the doubtful name for the young of the conger eel, Conger conger (Linnaeus 1758) -- "The evidence that the eggs here described are those of Leptocephalus conger is circumstantial rather than positive."
