Type catalog: Menon & Yazdani 1968:117 [ref. 20743] as sterwarti. •Valid as Gymnocypris stewartii (Lloyd 1908) -- (Tsao 1964:183 [ref. 13501], Tilak 1987:103 [ref. 23969]). •Valid as Oxygymnocypris stewartii (Lloyd 1908) -- (Wu & Wu 1992:463 [ref. 21205], Zhang et al. 1995:114 [ref. 22734], Zhu 1995:93 [ref. 25213], Yue & Chen 1998:158 [ref. 26415], Chen & Cao et al. in Yue 2000:367 [ref. 25272], Zhang et al. 2016:119 [ref. 34477]). Current status: Valid as Oxygymnocypris stewartii (Lloyd 1908). Cyprinidae: Schizopygopsinae. Distribution: Tibet and ? China. Habitat: freshwater.
