Current status: Synonym of Pristipomoides macrophthalmus (Müller & Troschel 1848). Lutjanidae: Etelinae. Habitat: marine.

H.] in Schomburgk 1848:666 [14] [The history of Barbados; comprising a geographical description of the island and an account of its geology and natural productions.; ref. 17812] Barbados, West Indies. No types known. Length of 1 inch in original should have been 1 foot. Appeared first as above; reprinted in Ann. Mag. Nat. Hist. 1848:14 (with length correction).
