No types preserved. Based on manuscript description by Commerson (Philibert Commerson, 1727-1773, French explorer and naturalist). Bauchot et al. 1991:55 [ref. 19958] indicated that two spellings were used: coeruleus on p. 537 and caeruleus on p. 560 and selected coeruleus, but CAS copy has only caeruleus. No types at MNHN: Bauchot et al. 1991:55 [ref. 19958].
