Paratypes: USNM 398928 (1), 398929 (1), 398930 (1), 398931 (1), 399917 (1). Plus additional non-type material from Colombia and Panama. •Valid as Starksia langi Baldwin & Castillo 2011 -- (Page et al. 2013:170 [ref. 32708] as Castro & Baldwin). Current status: Valid as Starksia langi Baldwin & Castillo 2011. Labrisomidae. Distribution: Belize, Central America; also Honduras and Panama, questionably off Colombia. Habitat: marine.
