reitzi, Tomicodon Briggs [J. C.] 2001:745, Fig. 1 [Copeia 2001 (no. 3); ref. 25451] Coral islet at Isla Grande, (Atlantic) Colombia, 10°11.4'N, 75°44.9'W, depth 0-4 meters. Holotype (unique): USNM 363264. This species is named after a women, so the name must be changed to reitzae. Locality in the original description given as the Pacific coast of Colombia in the eastern Pacific, but that was in error for Atlantic Colombia. •Valid as Tomicodon reitzae Briggs 2001 -- (Collette et al. 2003:102 [ref. 26784], Williams & Tyler 2003:18 [ref. 27287], Lasso-Alcalá et al. 2005:181 [ref. 28938], Page et al. 2013:173 [ref. 32708], Smith-Vaniz & Jelks 2014:73 [ref. 33341]). Current status: Valid as Tomicodon reitzae Briggs 2001. Gobiesocidae: Gobiesocinae. Distribution: Western Atlantic. Habitat: marine.
