Current status: Synonym of Trichopsis vittata (Cuvier 1831). Osphronemidae: Macropodusinae. Distribution: Central and west Thailand (if valid). Habitat: freshwater.

Current status: Valid as Trichopsis pumila (Arnold 1936). Osphronemidae: Macropodusinae. Distribution: Southeast Asia: lower Chao Phraya and lower Mekong River basins, Thailand, Cambodia and Vietnam. Habitat: freshwater.

Holotype: ZMH H1646. Paratypes: ZMH H1647 (1, damaged).
