Holotype (unique): USNM 29371. Additional material: USNM 26758, 26849, 26864 (unspecified quantity). Distribution: Eastern Pacific: southern California (U.S.A.) south to Pacific coast of southern Baja California Sur (Mexico), and Gulf of California (Mexico). Habitat: marine.
