Type catalog: Bertin & Estève 1950:13 [ref. 19576]. Valid but petition to be submitted to suppress in favor of Fundulus lineolatus (Agassiz 1854) -- (Gilbert et al. 1992 [ref. 19877] [but petition never submitted, but see Lazara 2001:143 [ref. 25711]]). See also Lazara 2002:227 [ref. 25897]; MNHN A-1713 apparently not the type.
