Unneeded replacement name for Raja ajereba Walbaum 1792; based on the same source, the 'Aiereba' of Markgraf von Liebstadt 1648:175, fig. [ref. 30347], Raja orbicularis Bloch & Schneider 1801, other literature sources, and one specimen. It is suggested that prevailing usage favors retaining spelling as aiereba. See ajereba.
