Current status: Valid as Cyprinodon pisteri Miller & Minckley 2002. Cyprinodontidae: Cyprinodontinae. Distribution: Northern Chihuahua, Mexico and southwestern New Mexico (U.S.A.) [introduction]. Habitat: freshwater.
