T.] 2002:3 [Zootaxa No. 40; ref. 26441] Small cave on northern side, Temoe Atoll, Gambier Group, Tuamotu Archipelago, depth 41 meters. Holotype: BPBM 13531. Additional non-type material: BMNH 1996.6.27.1 (1); BPBM 13974 (2), 16444 (1), 16893 (1), 37393 (4); CAS 13531 (1); USNM 327795 (3). Proposed as a replacement name for Pseudogramma australis australis Randall & Baldwin 1997, preoccupied by Pseudogramma australis Randall & Baldwin 1997; see also remarks under Pseudogramma australis. Pseudogramma is feminine, so name should be xantha. •Valid as Pseudogramma xanthum Randall, Baldwin & Williams 2002 -- (Randall et al. 2004:12 [ref. 27624], Randall 2005:171 [ref. 28239]). •Valid as Pseudogramma xantha Randall, Baldwin & Williams 2002 -- (Williams & Viviani 2016:258 [ref. 34442], Prokofiev 2019:425 [ref. 36810], Parenti & Randall 2020:99 [ref. 37354]). Replacement Name. Current status: Valid as Pseudogramma xantha Randall, Baldwin & Williams 2002. Grammistidae. Distribution: Western Pacific, South Pacific: Ha'apai Group, Tonga; Cook Islands, Gambier and Austral Islands, Temoe Atoll and Pitcairn. Habitat: marine.
