pulcinella, Parambassis Kottelat [M.] 2003:10, Figs. 1-2, 6-7 [Ichthyological Exploration of Freshwaters v. 14 (no. 1); ref. 26756] Stream "Chon Son" between Kyondaw and Phadaw, about 20 kilometers northwest of Payathouzu, at border with Thailand, about 15°25'N, 98°15'E, Kayin [Karen] State, Myanmar. Holotype: MHNG 2640.23. Paratypes: CMK 17517 (2), 17766 (2); MHNG 2640.24 (2); NIFI 3160 (2); ZRC 47722 (2). •Valid as Parambassis pulcinella Kottelat 2003 -- (Geetakumari 2012:62 [ref. 31985], Geetakumari & Basudha 2012:3227 [ref. 32279], Kottelat 2013:322 [ref. 32989], Mayanglambam & Vishwanath 2015:588 [ref. 34026]). •Valid as Chanda pulcinella (Kottelat 2003) -- (Ghazali et al. 2024:8 [ref. 40872]). Current status: Valid as Chanda pulcinella (Kottelat 2003). Ambassidae. Distribution: Southeast Asia: Ataran River drainage, Myanmar. Habitat: freshwater.
