Paratypes: MRAC A1-30-P-2-3 (2), 99-072-P-0001-0006 (6). •Valid as Aphanius villwocki Hrbek & Wildekamp 2003 -- (Hrbek et al. 2006:250 [ref. 28685], Fricke et al. 2007:72 [ref. 29533], Pfleiderer et al. 2014:580 [ref. 33587], Çiçek et al. 2015:151 [ref. 35151], Freyhof et al. 2017:583 [ref. 35477], Çiçek et al. 2018:24 [ref. 36267], Esmaeili et al. 2018:9 [ref. 36738], Yoğurtçuoğlu & Freyhof 2018:320 [ref. 35893], Çiçek et al. 2020:258 [ref. 37644], Kärst et al. 2020:89 [ref. 38165]). •Valid as Anatolichthys villwocki (Hrbek & Wildekamp 2003) -- (Freyhof & Yoğurtçuoğlu 2020:428 [ref. 37656], Çiçek et al. 2023:442 [ref. 40625], Çiçek et al. 2024:348 [ref. 40789]). Current status: Valid as Anatolichthys villwocki (Hrbek & Wildekamp 2003). Aphaniidae. Distribution: Asia Minor: Akgöl tributary, Afyonkarahisar and Konya Provinces (Turkey). Habitat: freshwater.
